FAQ'S

minus plus

Can I test ride an electric bicycle? minus plus

We are a direct-to-consumer electric bike company both in pricing and strategy. You will generally pay a premium for the ability to test ride an electric bike through a dealer. However, our electric bikes have been thoroughly tested by top reviewers such as Electric Bike Review, Electric Bike Report, Cycling Weekly, Clean Technica, Electrek, and many others who have published their reviews on YouTube. You can read electric bike reviews on any of those sites. Additionally, we are now supporting an independent network of owners offering their bikes for demos. Learn more about electric bicycle demos here Locations

What is the Return Policy for Revv 1? minus plus

We only accept returns on unopened and unused electric bike shipments for this model that have been reported within 14 days of delivery. You must provide photo documentation to verify the ebike was not opened or used. After approval by Ride1Up, return is subject to a $350 restocking fee per bicycle.

What can I expect ordering a bike from Ride1Up? minus plus

This article will explain all about what to expect when ordering an electric bike from us. Ordering With Us

Can I upgrade the Revv 1's battery? minus plus

If you purchase the Hardtail (HT) frame type, which comes with a 15ah battery, you can purchase the 20ah battery if it is in stock as an add-on. We cannot replace the 15ah battery with the 20ah battery before shipping out the hardtail bike.

Can I switch the handlebars to another electric bike model? minus plus

No, you cannot switch the handlebars on the Revv1. The variations you see on the site are the only options we have for our electric bike models.

Can you ship to _______? minus plus

We only ship our electric moped bikes within the contiguous United States. The Continental United States is FREE. Currently, not shipping to Hawaii, Alaska or Canada. We are not responsible for any additional tariffs charged by your local government which are often-times applied after importing electric bikes. Unfortunately, we are not able to ship our electric bikes directly to Europe at this time. You can use a shipping forwarder like ShopUsa.com to reach your country.

Are the bikes water-proof? minus plus

The electric bikes are not water-proof, they are water-resistant, rated IP-65. While we do not recommend leaving the bikes out in the rain or riding in the rain or other hazardous conditions due to personal safety, our electric bikes can handle water exposure. Leaving your ebike in the rain or other hazardous conditions could shorten the lifespan of the electric bike.

What Is a Moped-style eBike? minus plus

The difference between an ebike and a moped-style ebike is all in design and top speed. Typically, moped electric bikes have programming and motor capabilities that allow for a higher top speed than class 3 ebike regulations allow. This is more than 28 mph, but designed for private property and technically not legal to ride on public roads at these speeds. Additionally, moped-style electric bikes are typically designed with wide tires, classic moto-inspired styling and have a retro look, akin to cafe racer motorcycles.

Our Revv1, available in Graphite Gray and Moss Green, is pre-programmed as a Class 2 e-bike, so you can ride most anywhere at twenty miles-per-hour with throttle and pedal assist. However, you can unlock the programming to reach speeds north of 28 mph. This is intended for private property only.

This agile and robust bike is tough enough to cope with the most demanding of rides. However, with its practical and sturdy design, it remains suited to any rider with a comfortable saddle, upright riding position and throttle forward use-case that provides a boost up to twenty-eight MPH or more when unlocked for “Off-Road Mode”

What Is the Difference Between a Moped eBike and Electric Moped? minus plus

A regular electric moped works on a twist-and-go basis. Akin to a motorcycle, they do not have pedals, require insurance and registration and are heavier than an electric bike because of a larger battery and frame build. An electric moped ebike incorporates a motor, does not require insurance or registration and has pedals so in theory, the rider is intended to power the bike by pedaling. This design bypasses the regulatory needs of a moped, has a smaller, lighter battery and incorporates an element of exercise that you do not get with an electric moped or electric motorcycle.

Ride1Up’s electric moped bike takes all the best bits from both types of vehicles and blends them to create something different. The Revv1 is a moped-style e-bike engineered with a café racer, moto-inspired design, giving our riders the best of both worlds.

What Are the Benefits of a Moped Ebike? minus plus

There are tons of reasons to consider an electric moped bike, commonly referred to as a moped-style ebike, whether you’re looking for a next-gen e-bike upgrade or an electric moped experience capable of more than a typical commute.

The Revv1 suits every environment, from stop-start city travel to off-road adrenaline-fueled rides and everything in between.
Variable settings allow you to ride safely anywhere, releasing higher speeds for weekend off-roading or sticking to permitted top speeds on public roads.
An electric moped ebike provides great energy-efficiency, where you can rely on the pedal assist to extend your range or use the throttle when you’re looking for a more thrilling, faster pace experience.

You’ll find the quiet motor, and lack of fumes a literal breath of fresh air, whether you’re navigating through heavy traffic or enjoying the feeling of cruising confidently for a superior ebiking experience.

How Is the Revv1 Different From a Traditional Electric Moped? minus plus

The Revv1 is a full-spec moped-style ebike with the safety features and functionality you’d expect from any premium-quality ebike–but the comparisons stop there! This exceptional electric moped acts like a hybrid between the two, with the capacity and build to cope with high-speed, rough multi-terrain off-road rides, with a super-stylish frame, rugged wide-profile tires, and a powerful motor.

Riders can commute in style, with an ergonomic frame created for comfort, and let loose on private land, by switching to Off-Road mode and unlocking speeds of twenty-eight MPH and above. If you’re after a fantastic moped-style ebike that looks incredible and adds exhilaration to your off-road adventures, the Revv1 is the only bike for you.

This is not an electric scooter, but like some of the fastest electric mopeds, we’ve added some extra-special features to boost your riding experience, with superb traction tires, a two-tone mounted display, and moto-style headlights, turn signals, horn and bright braking lights as a finishing touch.

One of the best bikes around for the price. I can’t believe all the bells and whistles you get for under $2K.

I have ridden my FS Revv1 for 350 miles now. I can say that I love this bike!I live in sunny San Diego and try to ride it every day. I actually sold a motorcycle to buy it and I don't miss the motorcycle yet. The pros are the looks, power, battery and value for your buck. In off road mode with boost I can hit over 40 MPH on flats. Hills are no problem with Boost mode. The bike feels very stable at high speeds. The cons would be that the bike has a few cheap parts on it that gave me some trouble. For example the kickstand and the bolt for the chain tensioner. I have chained the rear tire tube already and it did take a few hours but I think it will be easier next time now that I know what Im doing. The customer service dept was excellent in helping me get a new tensioner bolt after my stripped. They were friendly on the phone and shipped a new part out to me right away. This bike is loads of fun and I do take it off road frequently. I wouldn't expect it to ride like a full suspension mountain bike but it does okay. It's much heavy and clanky to do big jumps on. I bought the cage but don't use it much anymore. I have mounted a cargo cage on to the controlled box that works just as good. I can hold bags and water in the cargo cage. I would like to get another battery eventually but they are pretty pricey. Compared to the Super73 models this bike offers better performance and is cheaper so it was a no brainer. Thank you Revv1.

I absolutely love this revv 1. This thing is bonkers fast for a stock ebike and handles just like a harley sportster. Quality build as well with good materials. Customer service was excellent and freight shipment was excellent not a single damaged item at all not even a scratch. Im 250 pounds and this thing hauls me with no issue at all and has good battery life. Im super happy i spent the money on the revv instead of the overpriced super 73. For what you get with ride 1 up i would never ever buy a super 73 for their outrageous price tag. I honestly think the revv is a better quality as well

My REVV1 arrived today, 20-December-2023, at 1000 Hours PST; and, I am beyond happy with RIDER1UP’s REVV1! My mum and sister bought this for me as my Christmas Present, 2023. Thanks, mum and sis; and, yes, I will be a safe rider. The REVV1 is beautifully designed with a symbiotic relationship with performance, comfort, and safety. Maybe, it’s my build, 5’9”, 130 LBS, 31-32” inseam, and athletic fitness, because pedaling the REVV1 is comfortable for me, and it gives me the work-out I crave when I want to ride my bicycle to my daily tennis training sessions. My REVV1 feels like riding my non electric bicycles and the engagement of PAS feels like extra gears for me — of course, as we all know, the REVV1 is single gear; but, it feels comfortable and effective for me to pedal. 1) My delivery was with Alliance Air Freight and Multi Air Freight. Their customer service is excellent. Wendy gave me a 4-hour window today, 10-1400 hours; and, I was the first delivery. The delivery people were awesome. My REVV1 arrived in perfect condition — thanks to the excellent packaging of RIDER1UP and the delivery process of Alliance Air Freight and Multi Air Freight. 2) RIDER1UP listened to their customers and made significant improvements to the later and current version I have of the REVV1 FS. - Y’all know about the update to the chain; but, I also noticed an extended rubber chain guard along the frame instead of the little sticker that resembled carbon fibre. Nice update! - Larger Rotor on front and rear rims. I could be wrong, but I thought I read 183mm in the REVV1 FS in the earlier versions — mine have 203 mm — front and rear. Another great update! - My version has Power Boost; but, I have not updated my REVV1 FS beyond Class 2 — I have the codes from RIDER1UP after signing the waiver, but I won’t make the update, which brings me to my next point… 3) For my riding, REVV1’s Class 2 has more than enough punching power for me when riding up some of the steepest hills in San Francisco, CA, which I will be posting on my YouTube channel. Even in Class 2 PAS 1-3, the REVV1’s torque and power coupled with my own pedaling power are plenty punchy power for me to pedal and throttle up at 21% - 25% grade hills. I will post the video, soon. 4) RIDER1UP’s customer support is awesome — I call them, and they answered my questions with solutions. When I emailed them, such as, but not limited to, signing the waiver to unlock the REVV1, I got a reply within 20 minutes or so. 5) The REVV1 is absolutely stunning with a high-quality-build and high-quality components. I filled the empty space in the middle of the frame with the storage cage; and, the storage cage also has a high-build-quality to perfectly match the REVV1’s awesome design. RIDER1UP exceeded my expectations; and, believe me, as a first-time e-bike owner, I was concerned about all the negative stuff about RIDER1UP, but I soon found out, in my dealings with RIDER1UP, they listened to their customers, and they made substantial improvements to their delivery, their REVV1 product, and their customer service — whatever issues past customers had with the REVV1, delivery, and RIDER1UP’s customer support, they are gone and resolved; and, I am more than happy with my dealings with RIDER1UP and being a new owner of the REVV1. I love this bike! It's a fantastic commuter, and is helping me get ready for an actual motorcycle. I can make it to work in about the same time as it would take to drive, and I have a lot more fun doing it. It's comfortable, gets a lot of attention, and has more than enough range for my use.

I have had the Revv-1 FS for about a month and I Love it. I also own a 700 Series, which now my wife uses. I bought the storage cage as well as an extra battery and the dual battery capacitor and they all work great together. Just bought a piece of wood that was 3” wide, 1/2” thick and measured it the same length as the additional battery plate. Bought longer M5 screws drilled holes into my wood and now the battery fits snug inside my cage and my cage is secure. Highly recommend.

I have quite a few ebikes, and the Revv1 FS is definitely my favorite, It's quick, fast, good hill climber, quality components, handles great and a real head turner. I ordered a second battery, the center cage and the cable to connect two batteries in parallel. Assembly was straight forward and the service was both prompt and professional. I've added some graphics to make it have a one of a kind look. Great deal for a quality ebike!

Have been riding in the downtown Miami and the Brickell area the bike wowed quite a bit of people. It’s draws attention to all who sees it. Next I’ll be riding it on to South Beach in Miami, there’s nothing like it down here. It’s smooth and keeps up with traffic with no problems at all, love the tires no flats yet I can’t say that for my other e-bike which is always flat…….

Used as my every day commuter. 20 miles daily on the Revv1. Its awesome. If you can try out the off road mode I’d recommend it. Super fun. Motors do squeal above 36mph though. Also recommend buying some Flat out as I did puncture two tires in the first 100 miles of riding. But since using that I’ve been great for 500 miles. Overall for the price it’s a great deal and I’ve never looked back.

Best Ebike on the market. I purchased a black one a month or so ago and absolutely loved it. I then decided to purchase a second one in the Badlands color. I also plan to purchase a 3rd one in the near future for another family member. Our family group rides are so fun and have brought great joy to our family. I absolutely love the new Badlands color. Hopefully these bikes last many many years.

I love riding this bike - super fun! It came delivered well packaged and didn't take very long to assemble. I've put 200 miles on it in no time and it's been a solid, well built, machine. Pedaling is ok, but I didn't buy it for that as I am usually driving with the throttle. For the price, it's higher spec'd than competitors and looks great 👍

Ordered mine Wednesday and it came in 2 days! No chain issues, box came perfect, and to top it off the boost mode is the cherry on top. I come from super73 and I can confidently say the build quality is as good or of not better. There is no other bike that compares in quality for the price. Hands down a much better buy than a super73.

I have the f.s. Nicely designed bike. Visually you guys knocked it out of the park. It has the build and weight to make it handle like a dream at full speed. If I were to critique one thing it would be the front shocks are a bit clunky but they do function to absorb the bumps. Rear suspension is great. Comfy seat. Super bright hedlight for nite ridindg. Brake light and turn signals are great.Has descent power to climb the long steep hills. It's actually better on the hills than I thought it would be. It let's me get on the rail trais with the wife along with road riding on my country roads by myself. I found 25 mile throttle only cou try road rides to be no problem. Really excellent bike for the price. Great job !

I bought my Revv1 back in March, I wanted a bike that I can customized to my own style without breaking the bank, almost bought myself a Super73 R series until stumble upon this ebike, the frame design had me sold, also what I like was head/signals/brake lights/big display were included unliked the S73 R. Once I received the bike I had a couple issues (tight chain and unaligned tensioner) but it was a easy fixed with compatible aftermarket parts. After the issues was fixed the customization and add-ons began ^_^. Love commuting on this bike daily, it gets alot of attention and good compliments from others. Thank you for designing an awesome looking bike Ride1Up! Pros: Great frame design, Lights accessories included, 52v 20Ah Battery, great price. Cons: Motor isn't gearless/brushless type like S73, Onyx ebikes etc, gets louder at 28+mph. Have to get access to the controller box to unplug the motor wire to fixed a flat tire.

In my opinion this is absolutely the best value bike on the market in terms of quality and what you’re getting for the price. Pretty quick too when you unlock the off-road speeds

At the time of writing this review, I have about 500 miles on the full suspension version of this bike, and I can confidently say that this is by far the best moped style e-bike on the market. The price is very reasonable for what you get. The bike is very aesthetically pleasing. The dark grey color with matte black looks super mean. The suspension is great, and the seat is very comfortable. This bike has some serious power. With a fully charged battery and the bike unlocked to offroad mode, I can consistently hold 37mph on flat ground for about 6 miles. As the battery starts to drain, the speed starts to slow down. I did a few range tests on it and with the stock 52 volt, 20ah battery, and I can get about 25 miles, give or take some using throttle only at full speed. I am fortunate enough to be able to ride in an area that I can go full throttle for many many miles, and so having only one 20ah battery was not enough for me. I purchased a second battery and keep it in the cargo cage so I can easily just swap out the battery when I’m running low on the trail. With 2 batteries, I was able to ride 45 miles continuously using throttle only at speeds above 25mph the entire time including various hills. Now I am even considering getting the rear rack and getting a third battery and strapping it on the rack so I have a total of 60ah of battery power. That should theoretically take me about 75 miles on full throttle speed. The CST Scout tires are great. They are plenty thick and sturdy. They are much better tires than the junk knobby tires that come with the hard tail version. This bike does not have any gears for you to shift. It is a single speed only and that is a GOOD thing. With these moped style e-bikes, you are not going to be pedaling too much, and having too many gears just adds weight, clutter, and more parts that could malfunction and break. It is also worth mentioning that I am 5’10’ and pedaling with this bike is actually very doable and comfortable for the most part. At the highest point of rotation, my knee comes up to exactly a 90-degree angle from my torso. My only gripe I have with this bike is the display does not show the current battery voltage. It only shows battery bars. Sometimes those battery bars are incorrect or inconsistent. Overall, I love this bike and it brings a whole lot of joy to me whenever I take it for a spin. It feels and rides like a smooth motorcycle and it’s even replaced my car for a lot of my regular commutes. I even got side mirrors, a phone holder, a cup holder, passenger foot pegs, and an alarm system for it, all from Amazon. There are even some secret locations for you to hide an air tag in very hard to reach places if you search hard enough. If you are considering this bike, I would buy it 100%. One of the best purchases I ever made. Thank you Ride1Up for making such a masterpiece product.

I’ve had mine for about a week, most I’ve done so far is gone up/down the street and to/from the mailbox a few times. Can’t wait to really get out there on it. Still waiting for the last couple parts to come in. My “maiden ride on it was about 1.5 miles just before the remains of “Hurricane Hilary” sprinkled over us, as less than a tropical depression.

Really great Bike ( Revv1 ), After working with customer service which took a while, problems with my bike were resolved. Apollo was dedicated to resolving and continues to make sure the bike is working as it should. Driving the bike is amazing, handles, brakes, and speeds up almost like a motorcycle. Very cool looking, fun to drive and built solid! I wish the directionals would beep when on, so you'd notice if left on, nothing else to complain about really.

This is the best investment I've ever made in an ebike. Very high quality and had no issues with the bike whatsoever, this was very simple to put together and riding it has been a blast ( literally ) The torque is super strong and you really feel the headwind when riding. The full suspension is the best version and really only the way to go, would love to see ride 1up offer a dual batter connector to the bike as well seeing as how there is plenty of space for one. Other than that I highly recommend this bike

Haven't ridden mine yet. I am making custom parts for it that do not require frame or wire harness modifications. One option I would like to have seen, In place of the upper battery a light weight lockable trunk shaped like the battery and the option to have the battery mounted high or low on initial set-up.

Great price for all that you get with this bike. Fast and powerful, even up hills. I'm 230 lbs and I use this as my daily commuter to and from work. 20 miles round trip with enough juice left to get around a few city blocks and still run errands. All settings are maxed out so it's always fun! Had some chain issues but customer service was quick to handle it and Ride1Up paid for parts and service. That was a good feeling. Didn't leave me blowing in the wind.

Faster than it needs to be, which is a very good selling point. I'm 201lbs and can reach a top speed of 38 mph. Thats with sport mode enabled and only tried that for testing purposes. The sweet spot for me is class 3 setting with a top speed of 28 mph. Rides very smooth, but motor does get a little loud over 28mph. It also feels and handles terrifically; even at 93lbs is handles like a much lighter bike. The visual aesthetics of the bike are a work of art and my hat is off to the designers & engineers who developed the Revv 1. Also, it arrived in damn near mint condition. The only thing I find somewhat sketch is voiding ones' warranty if you use a 3rd party battery not sold by and branded by Ride1up. For starters, and this is a huge point, you don't have any batteries in stock; some of us need longer range and can't wait till July or August (it's June 4th) since the riding season will be just about over by then for people like me in the Northeast or any northern state; You can't have it both ways. I had to put that out there. That aside, it's Saul Goodman. It's a terrific bike. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an ebike. This one has raised bar and put other companies on notice.

I love this bike! It’s peppy, solidly built, and full of options that would have cost much more on other bikes. I have had a few issues, some ongoing, such as the chain (fixed by Ride1Up automatically) as well as an issue with the rear brake caliper leaking from the factory. Awaiting a response on the brake issue but otherwise Support has been prompt and exceedingly helpful. First releases of any bike car or automobile always have kinks, and despite them this is a bike I will have a lot of fun with for a long time!

Love the bike. They sent a chain replacement for the one that came on it. My bike is great. My boyfriends bike the back spacer fell off, his replacement chain was crap. His back lug nut constantly comes loose. Both of our bikes odometer is off. Deff has a few bugs to work out.

Great bike I love it! Only down side is the bike has turned into quite the project as there is a lack of available accessories. No Rear rack, passenger foot pegs, and lack of mounting points for a surf board rack. A rear rack would be very much appreciated! Attached photo is of the surf board rack tubes installed, had to do a bit of cutting to the side plates under seat but came out nice.

I love this bike! I’ve been looking for something like this for about a year. The plus side is it has, turn signals and a horn. Which a lot of them don’t come with. It’s definitely responsible priced for all the gadgets it has. I actually got this bike up to 43.5 mph on off road mode, not that I need to be riding that fast but it definitely goes. I do pedal the bike every now and then and I actually had no problem with it, it’s not weird or uncomfortable for me. So far so good, I’m definitely loving this bike. I would love to get the storage cage that’s made for it and an extra battery at some point.

My REVV1 is my best friend- this purchase was one of the best decisions I ever made. I use my REVV1 to commute to work, pick up groceries and even to grab a bite sometimes The bike has enough range to be practical while also having enough power out of the box to make the commute fun. As a new rider, I've never felt like the bike was hard to control or too intimidating. There are bikes that some would argue are more practical, but no one can argue against the looks of the REVV1; let me tell you, this bike turns heads. Get a good helmet, a good lock for your bike and ride responsibly!

I'm very impressed with these bikes and wish we would have got them sooner! These have opened up so many new areas of our town that we can visit without having to worry about parking or packing up the car. I have an old knee injury that prohibited me from riding a regular bike long distance but I don't have that issue anymore. It's like an excersize bike that goes places. The range is great. They do great in dirt and on the road. They do get a little squirrely in deep sand. I wish they had a little more clearance but honestly we were probably pushing the limits anyways. We treat them like electric dirtbikes.

Terrific little farm bike that seems like it will be useful riding fence lines, fields, dirt roads and quietly getting to my hunting spot in the wee hours. My husband and I put it together without too much trouble. Cool looking and sturdy. For reference I am 5’3 and I can get one foot almost flat on the ground but not both. I was also able to unlock the off-road mode pretty easily and I am not a techie!

The Revv1 is an absolute blast! I haven’t had this much fun since I got my first BMX. I’ve had this sexy beast for a month now and I can honestly say it has helped relieve stress, made me healthier & happier. Thanks Ride1up for an amazing bike. Side note make sure you know how to brake before taking the bike into off-speed. 🙏🏻 bless up

Extremely fun. I originally wanted a Super73, but after doing research I found this bike is as high quality (if not better) at a better price point. I got the FS and go up and down hills behind my house. The bike feels extremely solid, no cheap parts on here. Bike arrived in a box, extremely easy assembly. Highly recommend this bike for hours of fun on or off-road.

Ride1Up was very transparent throughout the entire process and I received my Revv1 FS a week ago. The bike withstood FedEx delivery and was a breeze to assemble. This is arguably one of my favorite bikes in design and performance. I'm currently 50 miles in, and the ride is as fun as it is comfortable. The chain length and is a bit shorter than the pictures reflect, causing the pensioner to block the peg hole on the drive side. However this is nowhere near a deal breaker, and can be dealt with quite easily. Overall, phenomenal bike that delivers as advertised and I look forward to using this as my primary commuter.

Ride1Up has delivered another value-priced ebike but this time in the moped category! This bike is better spec'd than other ebikes in the price range. Standout features are the dual air suspension, 4-piston brakes and the Scout tires (FS version). Check out our full review for more information: https://ebikeescape.com/ride1up-revv-1-review/

I have ridden my FS Revv1 for 350 miles now. I can say that I love this bike!I live in sunny San Diego and try to ride it every day. I actually sold a motorcycle to buy it and I don’t miss the motorcycle yet.

I wouldn’t expect it to ride like a full suspension mountain bike but it does okay. It’s much heavy and clanky to do big jumps on. I bought the cage but don’t use it much anymore.
