Hurricane Movement

This is my first e-bike. This is a sleek, zippy, lightweight e-bike. I researched a lot. There are not that many'stealth? options out there so Hurricane is a great option for the price.

Perfect biking experience! I bought my new Hurricane together with my husband Carlos about two months ago. He has the Breeze and loves it. I’m 65 years old and bike all my life. Most amazing about this bike is the pedal support. I love it so much! I can still bike as much as I want, especially light hills, and it gives me just the right support. It is quite speedy and I love the agility. It looks sleek and elegant. It is relatively light weight and easy for me to hang it up the wall. Best bike for me. Just perfect.

I honestly was surprised that I would receive an ebike of this quality at this price point... I rode a total of 35 miles with a short climb up the mountain, which is the picture I posted here. I used 4 out of 5 bars of battery life. I still ride my carbon framed Specialized Tarmac Pro for long distances but felt so liberated riding the Hurricane because 1) I didn't have to shift, 2) I didn't have to unclip from the pedals, and 3) the ride was quite effortless in headwinds. I highly recommend the Hurricane to anyone who is on the fence about buying an ebike.

The bike arrived in a week packaged well. Assembly was easy with more than enough juice in the battery to go for a spin. I LOVE the bike. It feels very tight and safe at 20 mph. I seem to get more battery life than expected using assist level 1 most of the time. The great thing about the bike is the ease getting it in and out of my van... After 2 weeks of riding nearly every day I feel confident to go for long rides. Way beyond expectations for the price I'm expecting years of riding without issues.

first ride

I would grade the bike as a 4.5. The bike is light and you can definitely pedal without power assist. I live in Tucson and my first ride was 19 miles and had a 1000 foot elevation change. I had ~50% battery charge remaining after the ride. The power assist is great on level ground but could be stronger on the steep hills I encountered. It is comfortable despite my size. The bike is well constructed and solid feeling, but I had to adjust the brakes and derailleur out of the box.

Really cool bike

This bike is too easy. It is the perfect get around/tour transport. Obviously not as light as a traditional bike but it is super easy to handle and maneuver. You aren’t going to break any speed records but you may outlast others at pace. Its great if looking to begin the quest of exercise but it will take discipline to get the exercise desired. Its just too easy. Quality build!

Great value

Coming from a bike racing background, e-biking is new to me. I bought this bike because of weight to range ratio. It is fabulous and is my full time mode of transportation now. Easy to assemble and with many feature. The price point for this level of e-bike is unbeatable. Highly recommend unless you need longer range. However, you will pay the price in weight with longer range models. It’s a trade off. I am thrilled with my choice.

Lightweight

It's a great bike overall. It's light weight, easy to handle and maneuver on the road. It does fine going up hill using the pedal assist. I love the app that works in conjunction with the bike. As a commuter bike, it's great and the features are good as well. Personally, I use it for exercise purposes.

Hurricane ebike is amazing! It's the perfect ebike for anyone looking for just the right amount of assistance and the sleek bike look. The only thing I recommend is a suspension seat post. KBO is a great company to purchase from! They are very helpful with any questions or concerns!

My new KBO Hurricane 2.0 is awesome

I received my KBO Hurricane 2.0 about a week after ordering. I put it together myself (62 year old woman!) and it didn't take much time or tools to put together. Very easy! I gave it a short charge same day and went for a nice 18 mile ride with battery to spare! Great purchase and love the bike so much. I also have the KBO Breeze and love it as well!

Improvement Suggestion

Hurricane is a great bike. However, adding front fork suspension would be a great enhancement. The bike is very stiff and uncomfortable when traveling over minimal uneven surfaces. I am trying to purchase a second bike because they on sale now.

As an older person, the light Hurricane is easy to lift, maneuver, and ride. IThe ease of using the brakes, gears, and bell adds to my favorable comments. This is a great bike for the price.
